Golden ribbon initiative
In the month of September, which is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, our project launched the Golden Ribbon Campaign in our school. This was inspired by the original Golden Ribbon Campaign, which was started in 2004 to raise awareness about childhood cancer.
Each student and working staff were given a golden ribbon each, and could tie it around their wrist or in their hair. We also attached a small note to the ribbons, telling them about both this initiative and our project.

Testimonials:
“The initiative effectively helped to spread awareness for childhood cancer because those who cannot afford to donate to the cause can still do their part for childhood cancer! It helped to engage the school population and they became a medium to spread awareness of childhood cancer among the youth.” (Annette Liew)
“The gold ribbon initiative was really impactful!! There were people all over school wearing the eye-catching gold ribbons. This initiative really helped in spreading the message about childhood cancer among the youth in school.” (Rui Hong Quek)
